I adopted 13 girls that were from a production plant, they're a little over a year old and look horrible, thin, molting, bare skin in spots, cut beaks, and broken feathers. They were kept in cages and never let out or saw sunshine.
We've had them for 2 weeks now and I thought they were doing better but I was out with the girls today and noticed that one of them had blood at the tips of some of her feather shunts. I'm not sure what they're called but they're where feathers would normally would grow but look like they've been cut off really shortly.
I've never noticed blood before on any of them.
Should I be worried? What do I do?
I only noticed it on one of the girls and she's not even one that looks the worst.
