Bloody hen beak! How to treat?

She has been scratching her head and I've looked but don't see any mites or lice. Now she's scratched her beak hard enough to cause a bloody scratch where her beak joins her face. Is there something I can treat that with or let it heal on it's own? This is the hen that has been attacking me lately!

You'll want to clean it well with warm water - not hydrogen peroxide so close to the mouth as she might swallow it. Then use Neosporin on the scratch. That should do it.

Thank you! I will try the neosporin. It looks ok today and she's not scratching as much.
