Bloody nose?

I should mention this is only on one side. Hen is foraging and eating ok otherwise. I only noticed today when I came back home. There’s no sneezing that I saw from her either so maybe an injury?

Looks like she may have hit herself. Sometimes my hens will stick there beak between the hardware cloth causing it to get cut. You can clean it and apply antibiotic ointment to it, if you'd like.

I do have some hardware cloth around the coop. I didn’t consider it before you mentioned it but it definitely could cause injury. Thanks for the advice!

Hello it’s been a few days and I think the spot has gotten a bit bigger. I’m not sure if I’m looking wrong but the spot around her nose seems to have been inflamed too. I noticed her scratching at the place well. Unfortunately, it seems her molting period started this week as well and I dont know if her symptoms could be related.

I think it might be a scab, and since it’s so dark, I’m wondering if it would just fall off itself. I left it alone for a few days but considering applying ointment now to keep infection away.
