I have not been able to see my girls much lately, i had a knee injury and am on crutches. My big coop is down a hill away from the house. I have 4 BO that are about a year old that i bought a little over a month ago. One hen had a bald back, the lady i bought them from said it was from their rooster. I figured it would start growing back. It hasn't. Today I went to see them and noticed she had a little more missing plus a quarter sized bloody wound just under her wing. I looked at the others and two others are missing a few feathers on their backs. Is the one who is not missing feathers the guilty party? I was planning on starting to put my seven 2 month old in the coop. I am planning on waiting till I figure this out.

What should i do for the wound on the hen?

How can in prevent it? They have plenty of space. I give them lots of treats.

Sounds like the one that has all her feathers could be bullying the other hens. Maybe try removing her to another space for a few days and see if the problem is resolved.

Thanks! I ended up asking in the emergency/illness forum. I put some blue stuff on her to heal her and some yucky tasting stuff to put on her back so they will stop picking at her. If that doesnt stop it I will separate her.
