Bloody stringy mucus poop

I don't know. I had one with paralysis we thought was a Vit deficiency so we tried to get her better and that didn't work and now her sister has the same signs. It could be Mareks? It could be a Vit deficiency I honestly do not know.
KIKI to do a Necropsy does a vet do it or do you take the bird to the vet and they send it off?

It does sound like you may have Mareks in your flock unfortunately. The best way to tell or be tested is with a necrospy by your state vet poultry lab. There are labs that will test feathers and blood, but by the time you go through a vet and pay for the testing, you might as well get a necropsy. I think it is around $45 in TX, but in some states like mine, we can get a necropsy for as little as $20. Confirmation of Mareks with histology may be a little more.

The droppings definitely do not look normal. Mareks can cause poor immunity and a low white blood cell count, so it may cause a low resistance to common diseases many chickens can normally shake off.

If you need sulfamethoxine to treat for coccidiosis, here is where to find it for pigeons:

I don’t have Pigens. They are all chickens. I’m hoping the bloody stuff is intestinal shedding. Praying it is.
Intestinal shedding is not normal...the amount of stuff in your picture is not normal.

The medicine is also for chickens with a resistant type of coccidiosis. It is available for pigeons without a prescription, but you can give it to your chickens.

Shes passed
Sorry for you loss. Can you wrap the body in a clean bag, and keep it cool. Then decide in the morning about getting a necropsy. With the holiday coming up, it would need to be delivered by Wed AM to the lab.
