Bloody vent...

I had some 5 day old chicks picking on some 2 day old chicks, so I made a barrier out of my cookie cooling racks. Being alone is very stressful on a chick. I put one chick in with the picked on younger birds and watched them and kept doing that until each older bird had spent time with the younger ones. Eventually they stopped picking on the babies. Good luck. I got into the chicken business, myself, without giving much thought to medical emergencies. Yikes! Very shocking when things happen.
The screen here where I'm supposed to type is only five letters wide. Am I the only person with this riculous problem. It makes it almost impossible to type. I've never seen anything like it.
I guess I need to locate support.

Constipation is actually one thing I didn't even think of but... she's pooped on me twice already this morning so that's ruled out, I've been holding the lonely girl...she's been doing pretty good otherwise now, I think the others were the only ones pecking because she hasn't done any self pecking that I have witnessed. They are all 3 weeks old now so I suppose that would be fitting, as they are starting the pecking order...
