Bloody Vent

I have a one year old hen, americana, who has a swollen vent and bloody that has drained down her back feathers. I separated her from the flock and checked her vent and squeezed it to see if she had an egg there . All she did was let out some gas and then went poop, which looked normal. She is eating and is alert. I wouldn't know that something was even wrong except for the blood. What can I do for her?

I gave her a bath and even though there is no fresh blood I noticed that she is being pecked on her back side. She has always been the one that the other hens peck at, at her tail feathers but now she is completely pecked at around her vent and below. The egg she laid today was bloody on the shell. There was also a lot of blood droplets in the nest. Her belly is soft but seems bloated or swollen. Perplexed!
