Blrw breeders please

I've been breeding blrw for a few years. My question is do you use the black laced in breeding? I have a black laced hen and she lays alot of eggs,but her mahogany coloring is a little dirty which I know is usually the case with blr. I was having trouble getting a rooster and found two from a person who belongs to this site and hatched them out from Pumpkinpup. Now I'm getting excited to get my hens going but don't know what to expect from the black laced hen? Any reply would be great. Mike

As I understand it talking with Matt Llamon, you could use gold laced with the BLR. You'll have to cull the GL but this should produce a decent % of BLR. I've not tried it myself, but I trust Matt knows a whole lot more than most of us, LOL.

I would never use gold lace with my blrw it would take the mohagny out of them. Thanks Mike
