So I think I'm pretty decent at sexing chicks, but this one is driving me up the wall. Her name is Skittles and she acts like she's had too much coffee. I bought her as a sexed chick (again), she feathered in quickly, but those red areas on her wings worry me. Her comb is peach and she has absolutely no wattles. Skittles is a little over 5 weeks. I'm thinking pullet, but I'd like more opinions from those with more experience in wyandottes. Thank you!

I like the random cockatoo in the background

. I'm actually leaning towards pullet on this one but keep us updated as it grows, looks like a blue laced wyandotte...those are always so pretty!

Geesh.....I sure see what you're saying about the coloring. Then again, the legs are slender and the comb has no color to it. It's early days yet but I'm leaning toward the pullet side.

I'm leaning towards pullet, but wyandottes can be so difficult. Right now I have a White Wyandotte Bantam chick that I was almost positive was a cockerel at 4 weeks of age. It had a reddening, broad comb and even the appearance of wattles, grew much faster than the other Wyandotte in the group, and acted just like an arrogant rooster. But then, it just stopped getting "cockerelish." Now, at several months of age, it is an obvious pullet.

So here's an update on my little spazz at a little over 7 weeks. Sorry for the pictures, the little fuzzy butt won't stay still
