I was sold two BLRW chicks as "pullets". But I (novice) suspect this guy to be, well, a guy. What do y'all think? Thanks!

15 weeks old now. (was 6 weeks when I bought)

Yes, he's 100% a rooster, due to the large red wattles and comb, thick legs, and pointy hackle feathers.

Thanks folks! That's what I thought.

My dilemma is that I want to keep him. But as they get older and we start getting eggs, my wife cannot bring herself to imagine eating an egg that may have been "influenced" by a rooster. I keep telling her that if we collect them regularly, there's no difference in an unfertilized egg. But she will not be convinced that there's not some "eww" factor involved.

I'd hate to get rid of what will be a handsome rooster.

Maybe this will help? This tiny difference is the only way you can tell an unfertilized egg from a fertilized one.
