BLRW rooster???? HOT weather and a behavior question

I know, if this is the wrong place please move my post along.
I'm raising some chicks for 4 households.
some are already in the homes, a few are extras etc.
My one friend found out she can have a rooster!
she will have 9 hens plus the "Mr."

so here is my 2 part question.
CURRENTLY we have some BLRW cockerels from McMurray.

My concern is how they will a BLRW rooster do in the heat? her heat range is 115-20 degrees. (in southern CA)

2nd is if they will be okay in the heat how do people "pick" which one to keep, (and I'm talking about personality/temperament) I think I have at least 3 to choose from.

If this is NOT a good breed given Rooster chores of guarding and being alert etc... for high heat? I will see about doing some trading localy for a different breed.

I am not sure my GLW is very alert and hardy but has not been tried with our baltimore summer yet. Hope you find your answer soon I know carribrown has BLRW in cali. May be you should email or PM her.
