Was told one of my 8 week old BLRW looks like a roo. The only difference I can tell between "him" and the others is the lack of blue lacing. I don't know if that was why it was said to be a roo or not. I dont know much about chicken feathering and I try not to put too much into "males have X coloring" because so many factors (I presume) go into it. So, I guess I'm wanting other opinions and the "why" behind them. I've had chickens for about 7 years and this has always been an area I've been terrible in.
The possible roo

The extra red on the wings is probably why someone told you that. It’s not a great close up but it looks like it doesn’t have much at all in the comb and wattles department. My males had more red on wings than females early on but they also had combs and wattles like this at 9weeks. I’m not a sexing expert just trying to give you something to go by.

Yeah, none of the BLRW's combs or wattles are that red. They just turned 8 weeks yesterday (9/4 hatched). I'll try to get better shots of their combs/wattles
