Silver just laid her very first egg today, so both my Ameraucana girls are laying now! Here it is:

I am posting entirely to say "Gah, your birds are gorgeous!! The boys particularly! What do you do? Do you keep a stylist and personal trainer around 24/7 for them? Are they chased by the paparazzi?"

and there, I have.

I can't wait until April!!

(And I TOTALLY second the move out of town concept - best thing we ever did, for us, our daughter and I LOVE my roosters, Shiva and Dusty are both AWESOME)

Gosh, those are beautiful! I just love the way Ameraucanas look, not to mention their beautiful eggs. I wonder if there's any way we could come up with a self-blue Ameraucana? Wouldn't that be great!!!

Yep, I'd love to see a lavender Ameraucana. That's a beautiful color.
I don't do anything except bring a stylist in once a week for the spa treatment for the boys.

Wow! they are real lookers. We have an Ameracana chick My daughter named yer Sweet Cheeks, but I've never seen the blue bearded ones. Really nice!

I like the eggs, too. Very pretty colors.


I'd think of buying some too, but dh asked for a moratorium on chickens for a little while

. Maybe in the spring though!
