blue ancona hen??

Hi i bought i blue ancona "hen" wensday and want to confirm that it is a hen. How do you tell with anconas. I dont know how old "she" is.

Not sure of age either but she doesn't look to have the drake curled tail feather.

Thanks! she is soo pretty i went to this mans house who was selling them with all intentions of getting a welsh harliquin but then saw the anconas and she was the only blue one and has so much color on her i had to have her.... i think i still might get the welsh harliquin.... and maybe another ancona...lol

You should be able to tell the difference by her voice. If it is a soft deep wispy noise then drake, if loud honk it's a hen. Sometimes if a drake has molted recently he will not have a curled drake feather until it grows back in and obviously if they are young and haven't grown their drake feather you wont see one. IMO just looking at the pictures she looks like a hen, she has a very feminine look.

Thanks so much for all your help. Sadly i have to find all my ducks new homes due to family issues so she is for sale also her pekin mate and two crested runner ducklings (fawn and chocolate ).... IM SO SAD.. I am just worried about selling them because i dont want someone to eat them.. If you know anyone please PM me
