Blueberry was sold as a pullet from the feed store. Had no doubt until the other roo's starting with those long feathers by their tails and I noticed she seems to have them too. So someone with BA experience taking a look would be greatly appreciated.

She is 9 weeks old.

Thanks,
Tracy

The comb & wattles are still rather small & pale, which may give you hope. At 9 weeks you might be able to see the pointy feathers beginning to emerge from the skin around the neck and in front of the tail. Part the feathers there and look for them now, & in the next few weeks.

That's a nice shade of blue, whatever it is. Sometimes they're more black or grey.

Thanks. I'll have to check tomorrow when it's sunny out. She (I'm still hoping) is really pretty. Someone ordered 4 through the feed store and whatever hatchery they used sent 5. Poor thing was all alone.

My blue andalusians had very large floppy combs, larger than my roosters.

ETA: any they were egg laying hens!

That is a relief. Those saddle feathers threw me. I am awfully glad though b/c I didn't want to have to give her up. She adds a nice color touch to the flock.

Andora - my Blueberry looks just like yours.

Okiehen - now that I've seen the roos they are beautiful too. How is their disposition?

Thanks,
Tracy
