Ok, well it's official. Our BA is definitely a rooster. Saw and heard him crow twice just in last few minutes. He is 8 weeks 2 days old. Thanks to everyone for all the comments.

I,m pretty sure you don't have a BA, I think you have a Splash Andalusian, if you breed two BA you will get 50% blue, 25% black, and 25% splash.

Thanks for the update! I guess you win some and you lose some....the second pic definitely showed a little rooster.

I hope the group doesn't mind if I ask the same question? I have a spash andalusian that is 10 weeks old. Slow to mature - and isn't crowing or acting roosterish..but - has a bigger comb than the girls we have. So I'm wondering...Here is Pancake (my youngest came up with the name..) Sorry a couple of the pictures are blurry - fast little stinkers....

I'd go with rooster at this point, but the hens tend to get big combs in this breed so watch for it to get bigger and turn red.
