When I left last night I had a blue andalusian chick pipping. My oldest daughter was home so I reluctantly left. She says its hatched and doing well but she didnt check to see if any others were hatching before she left for work. Sigh. I guess this is one way I CANT mess with the incubator!! I am looking forward to seeing the little cutie when I get home.(today or tomorrow, she said if no others have hatched, she will put this one in the incubator with the recently hatched japanese bantam. I told her to take the flashlight and look for pips first!!)

Sigh. Well, it pipped and died. None of the others did anything.
I know its happens but that doesnt mean I feel wonderful about it.
I have been having a problem keeping the humidity up, even with wet paper towels because it has been so terribly dry here.
Oh well, more are in the incubators and I will keep trying!
(This spring when it was more humid I did have some great hatches so I know it can be done!

I have some more due in a few days, I have three incubators going right now, a Hovabator and two LGs. Chicken, duck and guinea eggs.
My peacock eggs didnt develop right, but since I had great luck earlier on in the season when it was more humid, I dont know if they would have if the circumstances were different? What will be, will be, I guess, I have done my best about keeping steady temps and trying to watch the humidity.
