Hi there,
I recently ordered some Blue Andalusian hatching eggs. They are such a beautiful breed. Then I started reading more about them and in more than one source it says they are not cold hardy. I live in N.H. where we can have some pretty cold temps in the winter. Is there anyone out there that has raised Blue Andalusians where the weather can be cold? And if so, how did they do? Thank you!

I agree, you just have to be careful of their large comb, they can get frostbite very easily.

I’d recommend putting a coat of Vaseline on their combs and wattles during the winter, and making sure they’re in a draft free area like stated above.

Good luck! They really are gorgeous birds!
