Blue Australorp breeding

so you already have blues? or are planing on recreating the blue ones?

At this time I don't have any birds. I just got my coop this past Wednesday. I would love to start out with the blue aussie but, nobody close to be has any babies. Plus it really stinks because so many people will ship hatching eggs but I have no way of hatvhing them right now :-(

Hi,I read that for the best results you should breed a black male with a speckled hen to get the blue color. I also read that that black australorps were crossed with orpingtons to start the blue australorp breed. I don,t guarantee my info to be correct so if it isn't please feel free to correct if needed.
