I'm about to make the first cut in the population of my young blue birchen Marans flock. If anyone is interested in the extras, let me know.
These should NOT be considered as finished, high-quality birds. The extras will have clean shanks, and they did NOT come from dark eggs. But they *do* have the birchen and blue traits, and they could make an interesting breeding project or just an attractive flock. These are young birds, hatched 3/10 and 3/15 . Some will be splash, some may be blue. No "regular" (black) birchens.
