Blue/Black/Splash Orpington Babies Hatching...

Congratulations! Nuthin' cuter yet to me than some hatching orps!

How do you achieve such a clean hatch? Is that a testament to your ability to keep the temperature & humidity just right?

I think constantly re-checking the accuracy of my instruments helps me keep the humidity and temp where they should be. That certainly does contribute to clean, no mess hatches. They aren't all perfectly mess-free, but I'd say 95% or more of them are. That's good because I hate a smelly, wet, icky hatch. Ew!

Edited for wrong word usage. Sorry.

The four babies that hatched will be picked up by their new daddy tomorrow evening. The next bunch due to hatch about next Monday were supposedly spoken for, but we can't reach the person who said she wanted them. If anyone near the N.Ga/NC area is interested in however many of the seven hatch, put your name in as a backup buyer. I dont want to brood these babies; actually, I have nowhere to do it at the moment. They are all Suede's with either Skye or Velvet.

Aw man Cyn, I'd do it in a minute if I were closer and wasn't getting ready to go out of state for almost two weeks. :-( Hope they show up for you!

Yeah, I'd seriously consider it, too, but this trip is going to take the life outta me for a while. :-( DH is taking care of my brooded chicks while I'm gone, but I'll be gone before those chicks hatch, too. *sigh*

You're only the second person that has caught that. Most seem to think that's what all P.O workers are so I thought I'd just go with it. ;-)
