My blue cochin flock has black, blue and splash colors. They say if you breed blue with blue you get 50% blue, 25% black and 25% splash. My question is, if you breed black with black, what are the coloring percentages? Thanks

B is the barring gene. Bl is the blue gene; bl+ is not-blue (meaning that black pigment is not diluted by the blue gene).Black with black = all black.
Black x Blue = 50% black, 50% blue
Black x splash = 100% blue
Blue x blue = 25% black, 50% blue, 25% splash
Splash x splash - 100% splash (color becomes poorer with each spl x spl mating)
Black birds are B/B, with no blue genes. Blue birds are B/Bl, and splash are Bl/Bl
