blue cochin or black?

He is what you call a Black/ Blue Cochin.. His Domain color is Blue but the color Blue is incomplete.. Thats why there are Blues, Self Blues, Spashes, and Black Blues in the Cochins..
It's hard to understand at first but you'll figure it out.. There are certain colors you can breed to each other to make a certain shade of Blue. Self Blue is the only color that breeds true..

not wanting to hijack or anything but does anyone on here have a picture of a self blue cochin? One of these days the light blub in my head will finally click to all the genetics stuff, but not yet.

Here is my blue man he will be a roo at the end of the month

wow just looked at my picture and stud looks black in the lighting but he is definitely blue with the darker cape around his neck.
