Blue copper maran? Or something else?

Hi all!

This girl, believe it or not, was sold to me as a lavender Orpington. Pretty quickly I realized she wasn’t and let her grow out. She’s now approaching 21 weeks.. has not laid an egg yet. Anyways, what breed/s do we think she is?


And genetics question:
If I breed her with my faverolle who is mainly black, am I going to get any blue/partially blue babies?

I have no idea what she is,but I also had a mystery chicken and I started a poll post to figure out what she was.It worked really well!

She fits pretty well for a blue copper Marans, but could also be some type of hatchery hybrid. When she lays it might clear things up.

Does she have feathered legs? She does kind of look like a Blue copper marans.

Uh, it depends. Both have a red gene, so you might get blue/black chicks with red leakage?

She looks like our Olive Egger!

Uh, it depends. Both have a red gene, so you might get blue/black chicks with red leakage?

No feathers that I see. I have one olive egger from the same farm and she barely has 1 feather on each leg. So maybe a sapphire olive egger?

I would say a possible EE x Marans.
I don't think the sapphire olive eggers have feathered legs, I may be wrong though..

No idea what she is but I do think she's pretty. I have a special place in my heart for these "one-of-a-kind-ers." Being a bit of a mutt myself, you see.

My other girl is all black, has a copper neck, and 1 feather on each leg. Definitely assuming olive egger with her. Also 21 weeks with no egg.
