Blue Copper Marans chicks?

We have three almost-3 week old chicks from chick days at a local feed store. We're in love! A local gal guessed they may be Blue Copper Marans, but I know that would be unusual for "free" chicks. What do you all think? Any gender guesses at this early date? Star may be a Steve? They all have lightly feathered black legs, just on the lateral sides. The first pic is 1 week old, the rest yesterday, so 2.5 weeks.

And the EE in the 2nd pic above is only 2 days older, but much bigger. Is that a clue to our mystery breed? I love this new game!
