Blue Copper Marans

Got this sweet lil one to add to my flock. Blue Copper Marans Pullet- I am learning more about this breed, any insights/tips that are breed specific? I think she is so beautiful!

Yours looks black to me. My blue copper marans was lighter. Mine don't lay a lot, but enough. One had really dark eggs and the other was laid lighter eggs.

Gotcha... she looks lighter in person. Here’s another angle.. the breeder did tell me she had a few that were lighter. Maybe I did get a black?

She does look more dark blue in those pictures. Mine were from a hatchery, so maybe that's why mine were lighter. I hope you get some nice dark eggs. Mine went broody a lot too their first season.

I think that she is just a nice dark blue
