I have hatching eggs available from Easter eggers from Whitmore Farm lines (the farm no longer sells chickens), cuckoo marans, buff orpingtons, black australorps, and various other Easter eggers.

The rooster is a blue easter egger.

The chickens free range for an average of two hours a day. They're taking to the cold well and are generally robust. They're calm and docile, that is, until they start laying eggs.

I get an average of three eggs a day from five blue Ester eggers. The other hens are laying a little less than that. Note that egg production now is less than half of what it is in the summer.

Blue Easter eggers give a pale blue, smallish egg. The chickens that come out of the maran eggs should lay eggs dark olive in color, but otherwise chickens should produce light olive or green eggs.

Chickens should have darker feathers and muffs. Hybrids (not pure blue easter eggers) will be particularly robust, have very good egg production and thicker feathering. I've noticed that the mixes are also generally smarter.

$15 for 6 eggs. They will not be more than three days old on the day they're shipped. I won't ship if the weather is freezing. An additional $12 for shipping (priority).
