Did I get something other than a Hamburg? The combs have the correct look. One of my Hamburg's either blue or golden pencilled (I suspect one of the blues.) layed her first egg yesterday. However, I was surprised to find it was tan about the same color as my JG egg (much smaller, of course). I know it was one of the pullets rather than an offsize egg from one of my larger hens because they all laid yesterday.
I thought that Hamburg's laid white eggs? I know the Silver Spangled we had when I was a kid did.
Any ideas?
