Blue Jays

Has anyone ever heard of a blue jay taking a chick because one swooped in on mine today.....they were perfectly safe in the cage but it scared them.....I've heard and seen them eating baby birds before so i was just wondering if they would try to get a chick

I have experience with blue jays eating and taking eggs, so I imagine one would take a chick.

really....well it scared me because we heard a hawk in the area about 5 mins earlier then the blue jay swooped down....I was like HAWK!!! lol

Don't know about chicks, but I saw one swoop down and grab a huge lizard and fly off with it.
