What do I do when my chickens peck at the blue kote that is supposed to cover their injuries?? Two bullies were pecking up a spot of it in the run.
One chicken's sudden bare backside (Wyandotte) was fully covered in the spray (it really doesn't look much different than the chickens normal feather cookies) and at least one normally flighty Rhode Island Red keeps pecking.
I also had another Wyandotte pecked incessantly upon a small foot injury that I sprayed well. This latter chicken has since been removed from the flock to heal.

Yes, I have seen this happen...the blue attracting unwanted attention.
Plus blue kote camouflages wounds so it's hard for a keeper to monitor healing and/or infection.
