thanks sam

It is safe. The warning is a CYA thing because no one has spent the thousands of dollars necessary to get the stuff approved for the FDA.

thanks i cant really see way you cant use on meat bird never hear of any body getting sick from them.

thanks sam

I was just wondering the same thing myself. We have a turkey that will become Thanksgiving Dinner who has cut his foot on something. Was thinking of spraying his cleaned foot with Blukote just to be safe.

If BluKote was dangerous I would be dead by now. I don't think I have ever blukoted anything for any reason without getting a generous amount on myself.

To those of you who are concerned about the safety of BluKote you may be interested in the following. The active ingredient in BluKote is gentian violet. It is not that many years ago when gentian violet was the treatment of choice for vaginal yeast infections in women.

Im going to get a can if i can find it.

I went to the farm and home store they didnt have it but the had what was called " blue lotion" and " wound knot"

thanks sam

Cutler Supply in Michigan has the BlueKote. I've ordered it from them before. You can order from them online.
