blue laced red or red laced blue?

Hattie the EE has turned blue! Is there an official term for her coloring or is it just random, funky EE mishmash?

It's neither, actually. I have a few hens this color, and they're blue partridge. Anytime a feather is laced, it has a definitive edge to it all the way around the edge of the feather.

You get the spangled look on birds that do not carry enough of the genes that cause lacing. She is carrying one set of the genes needed to cause lacing on a red primary color pattern.

So if I bred her to a buff orp boy, only one of four chicks would get the partial lacing, correct?
