Hi there,
I am relatively new to this forum and just wanted to share my Wyandottes. I am hoping to keep improving on the birds that I have as I really love this variety and Wyandottes in general. Can't wait for next spring! None of my pullets are laying yet and not sure they will over this winter since it is getting late in the fall and they are still pretty young. I am pretty excited about the birds I have been able to get so far. It's a good start. Sorry for pic overload. I just love their colors.

I hatched some from eggs that I bought at a show here in WA and the rest were purchased from other breeders in Oregon.

Sounds like hes down to some of his last as I was willing to pay for a few (or perhaps as he doesnt know me from Adam) but he was willing to part with a pair of 7 month old BLRWs. Sounded like he was making his final cuts for next years birds.
DMRippy I was very good and only candled them once. I'll candle this evening to let you know how many are making it to lockdown tonight. I've ordered another hova-bator 1588 without the turner especially for lockdown which will arrive today (close timing I know!). I'll post once I know and of course pics of the new birds!
I started building a 4x4 coop just for the BLRW Foley birds yesterday. I put 1'x4"x4" feet on concrete peers, got the floor down and level, covered it with lenolium and built two walls. Still have two walls and the roof to go today. Nor-easter tomorrow so I've got to hurry my bumm up. Best part of it is that I had most of what I needed left over from other coop projects and am only spending about $50 on what I didn't have. The lenolium was on super close out and a 12' piece only cost 9.12. Guess that means I'll have 8' of it left over for another coop.

Ugh, the birds had a USPS shipping guarantee of 3pm today. They have not made it to my PO and they do not expect another shipment today!

I called them and they're happy to refund the seller if he files a claim but not the receiver. They don't have any other info on them except what I can find online as well, they've left KY.

If your sort facility isn't too far away, call them and give them a heads up. Mine is 45 minutes away. They call me to pick up there I've I have live birds come in that miss the truck. Good luck!
