Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

My babies are 6 weeks old today. Last night was the first night their broody mommy didn't sleep on them and they were mad!!!

Splash girl...right?

Black boy?

They are Blue and Black in that order, as for the sexes I can't say for sure at this point, I don't even try to sex mine that young, but if I had to guess they would both be pullets.

Saphire is a Blue Wyandotte. The fluffy black hen is Rita who is a Silkie.
This is their first time being mommas and so far they are being good mommas.

WOW, I love those Blue Wyandottes. I have the BLRW and tend to want some Blues and Buffs.

Wyandottes just look good in any color I think. So fluffy!

I certainly can't tell but if I had to guess........the first one I would say roo and the second pullet but I am THE worst at sexing the BLRW. I don't know why! I can do SLW and GLW but not the BLRW.

Are those babies from my Guy or from someone else's birds?
Here is Guy and his ladies this morning. I can't get good photos because they are always under my feet. The best personalities in birds! He is a Buddy Henry bird but I have no idea about the girls. If it wasn't for those sweet temperaments I might not have kept them.

Yes, Guy had plenty to tell me.....

No, she is from the group I bought from Privett Hatchery. I think the Turbos have much nicer ones.
