yeah if it ever thaws it's getting lined with hardware cloth, but in the short term, everyone's locked in at night now so they can't be scared out of the house.

I have a questions about colors. I am a little confused right now. My aunt bred her splash hen and black laced roo and got chicks that were BLUE, no lacing at all. What happened there? I know if you breed a splash and black lace you should get blue laced right? Here are the chicks, or would they have black lacing? I am new to this and trying to understand it lol

These are just the questions I also have. Your birds look exactly my little pullets. {I also got a pretty Splash in the bunch though she is splash all over not the splash laced] As far as we know the mother to these pullets is a Blue Wyandotte and the dad is a BLRW. So my next question is....if I breed these pullets to my BLRW roo will I get BLRW or Blue or combination of each or WHAT?
I sure don't even begin to understand the genetics of these birds though the blue,black splash genetics is easy, it's the lacing I don't get??????
Any help please?

I agree... she's a pale blue but the color is even all over, not a splash.
