I like him, but he has a lot of orange for a breeder.

Hi everyone I have a quick question. I have a flock of BLRW's and all of them have rose combs. I hatched out several eggs back this summer and everyone was born with rose combs except one. She has a single comb. So is a single comb a flaw in a Wyandotte and should she not be used for breeding.

Correct, they're not supposed to have a single comb.

This is a 7 month old blrw bantam rooster. How does he look?

He's cute! I would not use him as a breeder, though. You are looking for a deep mahogany red instead of the orange. I cant see what his lacing looks like.

Hes got good lacing, he's still growing out his neck feathers, some are getting dark tips, is there a chance he will darken as he finishes growing out?

It is possible for him to look a little different after his next molt. I wouldn't expect that orange to go away. How old is he?

im not 100% sure on age since I bought him as a juvenile but I'm thinking 5-7 months.
