View attachment 1286265 This is my Blue-laced. Question is, is this a roo? We got this one about 8 months ago. Notice the twisted feet. She (or he) has a deformity and cannot walk. She hops and flies to get around.

That is a rooster.

The reason I was asking is that my neighbors heard a crow from my yard and were convinced that I got a rooster. All the other chickens are laying so...

I dont see any other rooster characteristics Large Wattles and Rooster tail feathers
I have heard of Hens occasionally crowing but it is rare.
It could be a slow bloomer

There's nothing but rooster characteristics with that bird.
Rooster hackle and saddle feathers, male specific laced pattern, rooster size rose comb.
That's 100% rooster no doubt about it.

New to the BLRW thread but since I'm getting my first 25 chicks come May I wanted to get into the know. Since my chicks are coming from Strombergs hatchery I feel good about the quality. What different colors does anyone think I'll be getting?

My BLRW are a week old (breeder)and I’m not thrilled (so far) with the lacing on the wings. Does it typically improve after molting?

These are my first BLRW it looks like I ended up with 2 splash, 1 dark blue, 2 Andalusian blue and 1 black.
