Yup! I would feel pretty excited to be beat by my own stock, if it were me.

Thanks for the information, Jerry. There is so much to learn with the Wyandottes. I have some of your birds on my farm. Actually, that's all I have left here since I just sold my non-Foley roo last night. He had good size but his tail was . . . well, he had some kind of huge tail that was not very Wyandottie. LOL My current little roo is a lovely guy showing nice color and type. I have high hopes for him and the little pullet that will be his mate.
The poor little wheaten blue laced roo seems to be stunted but I'm going to give him some more time; he may catch up. He has quite the personality, though!

Here a some pics I snapped yesterday evening. Couldn't get all of them cuz they were not cooperating and I didn't have my wife out there to take the pics while I held them. Some of the hens' back feathers make them look like they've "been riden more than Seattle Slu."

The bright sunlight combined with my cell phone's camera doesn't provide the best view of their lacing and leg color so some of them don't look as they should in these pics, but if you can, just take my word for it!

SO, there you all have it!!

Again, I've seen the juvies from these parents and the children actually look AMAZING, nearly better than the parents!

I noticed in some of these pics that there were more than one roo with the hens...Does this breed tend to cohabitate roosters well in general( I know there will always be exceptions)? I have 2 roo's that were suppose to be hens and no hens of this breed and I am trying to find a few...

My blrw roos play well with everyone be it a baby chick a big rooster or little gremlins that want to cuddle with them all the time..we call them kids around here

..but all of my roosters no matter the breed live together in breeding pens or the free range area..they know the rules and they see the one's that break them leave and never come back.Oh they have their moments but they know the King Prince and Court in Waiting order and those all the way down in the Pheasant order..they don't even dare to ruffle a feather or make a peep-you won't ever hear them crow.
