Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

Pics
I purchased 3 blr from the same place. They are now 7-8 weeks old. One of them started to have a redder comb than the others about 3 weeks ago. It is now clear that he is a too due to his very prominent rose comb and large wattles (or I call them jowls). That's how I can tell mine apart. Good luck!

Here is two pictures of this years young cockerels....one is an example of what I think is a nice wyandotte tail on a BLRW, the other is a pretty fair example of good mahogany red with no shafting in the feathers...although it might be tough to see the lacing very well in this picture

Beautiful birds, as always, Jerry.

I can't wait until my little boy get that large. He's only 11 weeks old. We named him Rockefeller. He's growing so well and showing good rooster instincts--keeps an eye overhead for large birds, sounds the alarm, wants everyone to go to bed when he says, just a good, good boy.
The splash is challenging Rock's position and that bugs me to no end. The splash doesn't display any good behavior qualities I want in a roo. He just likes to pick fights. He'll have to leave here soon.
Jerry, the splash's "white" feathers are really a light slate blue. Are your splash hen's that way too?

What do you think? Roo? He's abnormal, just want to make sure he is a he. He is 8 weeks older than the pullets he's standing next to.

I think somewhere around 17 weeks. Yes, he/she has curly toes on one foot and still hanging on to baby fluff on the head. I really didn't expect him to make it this long and his skin is bright yellow, so I think he may have liver issues. I just want to figure out if it really is a roo. Whatever it is, it's ours! Click on the link below and you can see it's progress throughout the spring/summer.

Could be a Thiamine (B1) deficiency. Being deficient in Thiamine can cause curled toes and problems with the nervous system and growth. Try adding some foods high in B1, such as whole grains, Romaine lettuce, spinach, sunflower seeds, and give him a boost with GQF Vitamins Plus powder in the water and see if he improves

Good luck!
