Blue laced Wyandottes?

Blue laced red wyndottes. From home and straight from the hatchery.

That is what I expected them to look like! But apparently since they don't breed true, I may have gotten the black laced red version...I was sort of hoping I would see some dark blue lacing but it's not looking that way! They still have some feathers to get in though.

Oh interesting! That one looks a lot like Rexie! Can blue laced golds come from BLRW parents? Or would it be a cross by a GLW and BLRW? My other BLRW I was sold looks very black laced...lots different than Rexie. I wish they’d feather faster so I know what they’ll look like haha

They're BLR without the mahogany gene, which is what turns gold to red. In other words before Hoover's "created" them, they were around and considered cull worthy BLR
