Typically, earlobe coloring start to develop after 8 weeks of age. I'm in a similar situation waiting to see if one of my chicks is a Brown Leghorn or a Welsummer.

I have some 6 wk old chicks we hatched out of my BLR Wyandotte Rooster and a Blue Orpington Hen atleast I think that is what she is. She is black and has some real darkish blueish greenish in her like highlights lol. Tgey look so much like these pullets it’s unreal except they have double comb.
