Blue Marans- pullet or roo?

7 weeks old. Not sure what to think. The hatch mate was a boy straight up at about three weeks… this one just started to get more pink at 7 weeks. Thoughts?

I am so praying you are right. I started with six “pullets” and have two left not the best of luck this year.

I also vote pullet. Usually Marans cockerels make themselves known early with their big red combs and this one is still small and pale.

Nothing screaming male to me. The comb is maybe a little pink, but not so much I'd suspect male based on comb. Though with the luck you've had you can't be blamed for wondering!

I know the feeling. I had 6 eggs, ended up with two girls and two boys, 2 didn't hatch. Got a batch of 16 RIR locally, at least 7 are males, three more are maybes.
