I bought 2 blue Orp chicks a few years ago from a local breeder. She has been very reliable, and I have seen her stock. I know she keeps each breed and color separated for breeding. That being said, lately I have been looking at BO roos online, and my BO roo doesn't look so blue to me after all...his fluff isn't as dark, and his hackles look a bit...rusty? Could be be a Splash roo? Idk if it helps, but he is 2yr 3mo old.

Looks like a splash, just not an exciting one
I wondered, I knew that Blue x Blue makes Blue, Black, Splash, but as he grew he always just looked like a Blue so I never thought about it until now. Thank you. I love him either way, I just always try to be at least 95% on my breeds/colors/ages/etc.
