BLUE ORPS HATE ME!!

I also don't have any trouble hatching out my own...it's the shipped or traveling that seems to get to them...

Deniece, waiting for an update. How many finally hatched?

Ok here's the update. I have 3 currently. A black one popped out slick as a whistle and is doing great with the Marans. The others are blue I believe. One is doing great, but is just gooed up so bad I tried to clean her up but she still doesn't look good. Looks like she lost a lot of fluff it the unsticking process even though I was very careful. The other is still kind of a mess. I had to unstick one of her eyes this morning so she could see. Then I was trying to pick off some more of the goo today when I noticed that her bum was all pasted up. So I took her in and cleaned up her little bum and her navel started bleeding and then oozing green goo. I'm assuming from the yoke sack. It was a total mess. I put a bandaid on that and tried to get her insides back in but couldn't. I guess the poop was holding everything in place. I feel really bad, but the poop can't be good for her there either. So, She's doing fine, I just don't know for how long. Also one of her feet is turned in, but she's getting around ok. So I really had a pretty good hatch all things considered.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!

Jess is definitely part of this club!! Poor thing, 21 eggs altogether and only 4 to hatch. And one is a little tiny peanut, half the size of the others. But then..... she did get a spalsh Roo!!
