The solid hen breeds like any other solid BBS. The rooster will have faint barring, from the single gene he would get from the hen. If you'd breed him back to a barred rock hen, you'd probably get all blue and black barred chicks, both boys and girls.

This is a blue barred rooster that a friend of mine got several years ago. She ended up selling him, I dont know where he ended up. But he was pretty spectacular.
