Ill be taking orders for these guys for the next couple of months. Great layers of light brown eggs, eye candy, sweet temperments, whats not to like? I have a young blue and a splash roo over blue, black, and a couple of barred girls. Both roos have excellent temperments, have never shown any aggression whatsoever towards me. Shipping will be figured from your address, actual shipping plus $2 for shipping materials.

If interested, please dont click Buy It Now, just send me a PM. I wont ship eggs when it gets too hot, so Im thinking Ill have these probably into May.

This coming week is taken as far as orders. I might be able to fill one next week.

And thanks for the nice comments. These are great little girls. I dont like any freeloaders here on the farm, and these girls definitely carry their own weight.

Just curious.......what color does the blue or splash over the barred hens give you? Do you ever get blue barred??

The barred hens will give you sex links. The girls are black or blue, the boys are black barred or blue barred. They'll have a white spot on their head to tell them from the girls.

i hatched a blue barred boy from her eggs but sadly he got killed at about 6 weeks.
i wanted to also add that these are the sweetest birds that i have out of 120 chickens.the rooster is a perfect gentleman(pictured) and the hens are very clingy.and they hatch out like popcorn too.

Wow - interesting! Thanks for the info. I really know next to nothing about chicken genetics and color inheritance. But now my curiosity has been raised regarding this. So what happens if you have one of these blue sex-links, and breed it (either barred roo or solid hen) back to the solid blue......what do you get then? This is really fascinating to learn about!

ETA: Sorry Dinahmoe - meant to tell you that your boy is pretty! And I love hearing how sweet Halo's birds are. (as one who has been waiting for some of her eggs and now gets to have some!
