I'm new to chickens and have a number of 8-9 week old chickens and two 17 week old bantams - all different breeds. I'm really hoping none are roos because we want a hen only coop. A friend suggested that this forum has a lot of people who are pretty good at helping identify sex on young birds. The one I'm the most conflicted about is my Wyandotte, Dot. This is a photo I took of her this week. Everything I've read said that this breed is hard to sex because even the females have red and larger combs and wattles, but I want to start preparing myself if I need to think about rehoming Dot.
