This is a 4 week old chick sold as a blue rock pullet from tractor supply. I'm starting to wonder if he/she is an andalusian instead of a blue rock? And thus perhaps a cockerel? I started getting worried when his/her comb turned a bit more pink at the base. Unfortunately, we are in a suburb and cannot keep a rooster, so I'd love to know as early as possible so I can start searching for another home if needed.

Thank you! A sapphire gem would also be a sex-link, so unless there's complete incompetence or fraud involved, those sold as pullets should be pullets, right?

Here are 2 more photos if it helps.

Yep. If it is a Sappire Gem, and I think it is, then it is a pullet.

The yellowish tint to the legs is the reason I said it is not an Andalusian, just to be clear. Andalusians are a white skinned breed. Blue rocks and Sapphire gems both have yellow skin, like your bird.
