I have a silkied serama that looks blue to my eyes, but his down was a dark gold when he hatched. Is blue in seramas identified only by steel grey down, or can the down be another color? I ask because I've had seramas feather out to be the same color/pattern when as chicks they had very different down colors & patterns.
