Blue, silver, charcoal coturnix quail pictures

heres an update on my little guys!



having problems with the uploader can only get 1 photo up. this is a charcoal

thatts not a button its a coturnix, i have probably a hundred or so now?

this is a blue tuxedo coturnix(though i think some refer to it as silver?)

Then this is a silver (but some called it a platnum once)

Such pretty birds! My favorite color in button quail is silver and these look just like them! I also have Coturnix quail and I love them, they are so fun, but to have them in silver would be like icing on the cake. I wish more people would strive to breed for the non-traditional colors of Coturnix so there's more variety available.

they are very eye catching in person, i'll be sure to put photots up once they're mature. Its definitely hard to get some off the odd colors lol. I like them because they are colorful but tougher then buttons lol

What are you feeding your birds? (They look kinda skinny)

This thread is a few months old but Ill throw out my opinion.They don't look skinny they look like 3 week olds. Also they are definitely coturnix I have never seen a button quail fully grown get half that size, the yellow feathers on the faces indicate these are not fully grown. In the UK silver quail are common but these are the first i have seen in the states.

Most importantly I would be interested in knowing what colors you bred to get to silver or where you bought your eggs from if that is the case.
